Raymond Carver has a ton of good short stories. Zora Neale Hurston's "Spunk". Tobias Wolff is also great and he just had a collection of new and selected short stories published titled, "Our Story Begins".Jacob Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08763248623831033580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3337042377966398742.post-54001871597203512192008-03-25T17:03:00.000-04:002008-03-25T17:03:00.000-04:00Thank you both for the recommendations. I spent the weekend racking my brains for good short stories, and came up with the only short story collection I have in my bookshelf: Fancies and Goodnights, by John Collier. The whole thing is wonderful, and I've read it over and over again.Cassiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11882311097987063641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3337042377966398742.post-51449976021789843272008-03-18T13:20:00.000-04:002008-03-18T13:20:00.000-04:00Well... And Frederic Brown has scores of good ones, I'd recommend the anthology "From These Ashes" of his work. Ursula K.'s "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas".Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00176386695360251205noreply@blogger.com
