Three Pieces of Good News!

I'm packing up for Worldcon right now, but I have three pieces of good news to share before I go!

1. I'll be making my second appearance at Daily Science Fiction later this year with "Where I'm From, We Eat Our Parents."  I'm flattered to be back, this time with a story of a tentacle monster and his purely consensual relationship with a nice human girl.

Forget all the rumors you've heard about tentacle monsters - he's polite, even sweet, though he's nervous now that he has to meet her parents. After all, her dad served in the war of the worlds.

2. Triptych Tales has bought my short story, "A Conscience is the Worst S.T.D.," for one of their anthologies in 2017. It's nice to already have a story release lined up for next year.

A Conscience is the Worst S.T.D." is one of the weirdest short stories I've written. It's a comedy, done entirely in dialogue, about a succubus who has contracted the most dangerous disease: a conscience. A few weeks ago she could eat-bang with the best of them, but now she feels bad for her food. She and the guy she spared from death last night strive to find an alternative meal plan for her, before she starves to death. Thanks, morality.

3. "Foreign Tongues" will soon be on Audible.com! Flash Fiction Online is beginning a partnership with Amazon's audiobook wing, and Audible is taking select stories to add to their radio-style channels. So "Foreign Tongues," about that intrepid taste-based alien explorer, will soon be adapted into the realm of audio. I'm so proud of them.
